I really enjoyed making this little snowman hat! And since it has a solid bottom just like a bowl, the uses for it could be endless!

And, it can also hold any jar or candle with a 4″ diameter! I absolutely love the Yankee candles. If you ever get a chance to sniff the one called Christmas Eve, it’s one of my favorites! The snowman hat will hold a medium or large sized Yankee candle.

Disclaimer: I don’t recommend using a candle without glass protection. You don’t want to cause a fire.

Here is a pin for your Pinterest boards to save for later…

The stitches aren’t complicated. The way I designed the base of the hat allows for a row of raised stitches to guide you when working upward. The holly and berries are crocheted separately and then stitched onto the hat using a tapestry needle and yarn.

You can easily work up one of these cuties in a day!

Confession: I’ve actually had this pattern since January and it has been available to purchase in my Etsy shop since I opened. I was just saving the pattern to offer for free when the holiday rolled around again. And here we are!

There is a Leprechaun Hat available in my shop here, but, again, I’m waiting for the holiday to come around to release it for free.

UPDATE: The Leprechaun Hat is now available for free on my blog! Click the link.

I’m also not affiliated with Reese’s. Their candies are just awesome!

I didn’t starch or block this Snowman Hat Candy Dish or Candle Holder. The Red Heart yarn, when unwashed, is stiff enough to hold it’s shape. If you wash your finished product, it may not hold it’s shape well unless filled with a candle.
